A Study for Youth on Trusting Jesus and Encouraging Others
Abiding in Jesus challenges junior high students to know Jesus as the Savior and Satisfier of their souls. Inspired by John 15, youth are taught that abiding in Jesus leads to trusting Him in all life’s situations and bearing spiritual fruit in Him. A special emphasis in each lesson involves students experiencing Christian fellowship. The study features interactive teaching with small group discussion, application, prayer, and fellowship time. A student journal enables students to note important biblical truth, facilitates class fellowship time, and provides helpful at-home Bible study and life application.
A Study for Youth on Seeing All of Life Through the Truth of Scripture
Your Word Is Truth is a 40-week study for youth on seeing all of life through the Truth of Scripture.
The goal of this study is that, through the work of the Holy Spirit, the authoritative Truth of the Bible might be understood and embraced so students may see and interpret all of life through the Truth of Scripture.
Our hope is that students would not be conformed to the thinking of this world, but be transformed by the renewal of their minds, that by testing they might discern what is good and acceptable (Romans 12:2). Finally, as the students grow in their own love and delight of the Truth, we want to encourage and equip them to stand firm in an increasingly hostile culture, boldly and humbly proclaiming the triumphant Truth of the Gospel.
A Study for Youth on Surrender to Jesus and Submission to His Way
This study encourages students to surrender to Jesus in salvation and submit their minds, hearts, and wills to His way in obedience. The first several lessons of the curriculum focus on the need for salvation, and on God’s work in making idolaters into worshipers of Himself. Then, students examine theSermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7), focusing on the inward heart attitude of a person who is submitted to Christ and His ways. The lessons explore the human tendency to worship the creation rather than the Creator, and to pursue the temporal benefits of the world over the eternal value of knowing Christ.
A Study for Youth on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood
The goal of this study is to help students to understand and rejoice in God’s good design in creating men and women fully equal in His image, yet with different roles. By showing students that male-female differences are rooted in God’s created design, students are led to acknowledge that the only way we can understand who we are as men and women is to come to terms with the Creator and what He tells us about ourselves in Scripture.
Students will be encouraged to value the members of the opposite gender, as they learn how God has uniquely designed and gifted each gender to fulfill distinct callings. It is our prayer that God uses this material to give the next generation a vision for becoming mature Christian men and women as they navigate their way through life amid the gender confusion and distorted messages they are receiving from the world.
